Hamlet’s Hamlet At The Algonquin (April 2023)

How Hamlet Got His Name …..
“Hamlet really seems to be having fun,” said the hotel guest. “How’d he get the name Hamlet?”

“John Barrymore (actor and frequent hotel visitor) decided that the Algonquin cat should have a literary name. That was quite awhile ago.  From that time on, every male cat has been named Hamlet. So Hamlet here, is actually Hamlet V111. Every female cat has been called Matilda. Hamlet’s predecessor was Matilda.”

“Thanks for the update. I’ll let you get back to Hamlet’s Reiki session,” said the guest.
