Sleep Deprived

  • Q How can I keep my cat from waking me up in the middle of the night? He either knocks things off of my bedroom bureau and/or meows non-stop.
  • A  Give him a hearty play-time before you turn in and a snack. You might give him a couple of Composure made by Vetri Science.  Last but not least, sequester him in the bathroom with his creature comforts and maybe some catnip — if catnip chills him. Tell him this is his private bedroom, don’t scold him. Be upbeat. positive. He may cry for the first few nights. Eventually, he’ll chill.


Catnip And Kittens


  • Q Can I give my kittens catnip? My late cat, who went over the rainbow, loved catnip.
  • A Give it a try. Usually kittens aren’t interested in catnip, whereas, many a cat, has the catnip gene and will respond by becoming frisky, playful and finally sleepy, sedated. Some cats become chilled immediately. Catnip Garden, made by Multi Pet, makes a tasty nip.
