Orion’s Catitudes

Orion, a recovering feral gives his cat-speak and ©whisker waves on cat issues.
Colette and Can You Ever Forgive Me are two cat-themed biopics that you’ll want to include on your play list of must-see feline flicks. They show how your cat’s senses spark your cat’s mojo and invite wellness. The Elephant Symphony; Running water; Play and Toy therapy; Togetherness – sound of the #Me Too Acknowledgement; and combo of taste, touch and scent with the wobbly cat syndrome.

Cat-Themed Biopics — Strong Oscar Buzz
Colette — Forever the crafty movie pundit, especially when cat related, Orion’s whiskers wildly waved to the opening scene of a cat sitting on Colette’s bed, a teaser to the feline fun ahead. Colette was an ardent cat lover, and with Keira Knightley as Colette, what’s there not to like?

Can You Ever Forgive Me? Orion particularly likes that the role of Towne, the cat, is not a cameo but a principal in this exquisitely balanced movie of drama and comedy where Melissa McCarthy portrays the life of Lee Israel, a biographer, who preferred cats to people. She wrote fake letters — a lucrative new career to save her cat’s life and support her own. (Nicole Holofcener, a co-writer of the film, lives with a black cat that she rescued from a bleak situation).

What Sparks A Cat’s Senses Sparks A Cat’s Mojo
Although many attractions can be the key, there are usually faves that nurture and tickle the feel-good spark to a cat’s senses — sound, sight, touch, scent, taste.
Elephant Orchestra of Thailand —  With Orion it can be the elephant’s high-pitched rumble, combined with the music and motion of the elephant orchestra of Thailand.

Running Water Attracts Morty —  Morty prefers his water from the tap. It recreates the motion and sound of natural running water which preceded the water bowl. A return to nature.

Play and Toy Therapy — Morty and Riley spark to the Copy Cat motion of play and toy therapy —  the bond that catapults cats to fun.

#Me Too Acknowledgement Creates Togetherness —  Major Tom and Janice do the happy-together dance when they are equally acknowledged. Goodbye to the acknowledgement gap, welcome to the #me too acknowledgement — a relationship maker. The sound of music to their ears!

Sight, Sound, Taste, Scent and Touch —  Elliot is a heroic senior kitty with the wobbly cat syndrome. During his FaceTime relaxation session to increase his stress tolerance with a behavioral program and Distant Reiki, catnip sparked his senses of taste and scent. He blissed out with the music, verbal recognition (“What a good boy”) and the touch therapy when he was stroked and praised. No wobble there. It was chillin’ time for Elliot. He would continue to adapt to his wobble. After all, he was Elliot the Endearing, the Unstoppable!
