21 Feb Orion’s Catitudes
Orion, a recovering feral gives his cat-speak and ©whisker waves on cat issues.
Orion faves Former Rescued Moms of The Street, Nellie and Luna. He faves Black Panther for Oscar for best movie and is fascinated with Myanmar Cats.
Former Rescued Moms of The Street
Nine years ago, Orion was an intact tomcat of the streets. Chances are he sired many a kitten before he was taken to the Chula Vista Animal Control in California where he was neutered. And the rest is history. He now wants to pay tribute to a couple of the rescued former moms of the street.
Nellie
There’s Nellie the mother of three, who was adopted with Okra, one of her kittens. A feel good song was a catalyst for Nellie’s relief from maternal angst.
The song that made the difference
Luna
I met Luna at Westside Veterinary Center where I am in residence. She was rescued and sponsored by a neighbor. Barely six or seven months herself, she gave birth to six kittens. Luna now lives with a guardian who visited her during her weeks of motherhood. She is the only cat and shows no symptoms of the “single cat syndrome”. If that day should appear, Luna will be matched with a compatible feline companion.
LA Thoughts
Black Panther Film
Orion has a particular affinity for one of this year’s Oscar nominations for best movie — Black Panther. It’s all in the logo, and the movie’s inspirational message to kids.
While I’m in L.A. at my sister’s (Gail Mutrux) Oscar party Orion’s cuz, Denzel, will be my surrogate cat. Orion will hang out with his fave cat sitter and a neighbor. He appreciates pretty women but is gender neutral.
Myanmar Cats
Orion has the back of these cats with their camouflage coat, in this very rural terrain and even a match of the native pottery.
Celebrating Hearts’ Day
Orion shared Rod Stewart and Amy Dolle’s video with Multipet Squeaky dog toy.
