Duncan’s leafy hat adds sparkle to her eyes

Duncan — Resident Cat of Rosewood Mansion Hotel.
Although Orion has a gender neutral preference, and Hamlet is his BFF
working cat at the Algonquin Hotel, Orion has a forever loving, roving eye for Fetching, Feline Femmes Fatales. So when I downloaded photos of Duncan of Rosewood Mansion Hotel he zoned out with ecstatic purrs, whisker waves and head bumps.

Mistaken Identity
By the way, Duncan is a female, mistaken for a male when she first showed up at the hotel and the staff dubbed her Duncan after a fave manager who had been transferred to Bermuda.
As I made my way up the few steps to the hotel entrance, she lounged out in the sun. I was in Dallas on a home visit to treat a few cats and would spend an overnight at the Rosewood.

Her Bio
Duncan was found by the valet staff eight years ago. Friendly and fearless, it seemed she must have been a house cat. A visit to the vet revealed she was spayed and in tip top health. Although she prefers the great outdoors, she will occasionally make a star appearance in the lobby or by the front desk.

Feline Greeter
She was camped out on the hotel steps as I left for the airport the next day. As one of the valet staff reached for my luggage I mentioned that “Lady Duncan” would really suit her gracious demeanor.

When I called to fact check Duncan’s bio, I spoke to Ms Mary.
“Duncan is now Lady Duncan, and we want to thank you for
her new title,” she said. Needless to say, I was thrilled and honored!
