Cat-centric Grooming (Mutual Comfort)

Benu grooms Nisu as their guardian tidies Nisu with a soft pad

Mutual Comfort …..
In a Facetime consult with Benu, the first cat, and Nisu the kitten, as their guardian tidied Nisu with a soft pad, Benu groomed her. This uncanny behavior was Benu’s ritual. Nisu went on automatic, because it put her in the comfort zone.

As Benu groomed Nisu, she relaxed and relived the pleasure and coziness she knew when groomed and nestled by her mother. Benu’s new ritual was a nod to their mutual comfort.

Their session ended with the anticipation of their distant Reiki session and their gaze of fascination at the sparkle of the Christmas tree. Fortunately, they were voyeurs.
