Horus Christens The Toilet Trainer

Horus Uses Toilet Trainer—But His Weight Loss Continues
(Indiscriminate Urination, Weight Loss)
“Really,” I said as Horus and Zelda shadowed the robotic cat.
“Yes, he’s now using the toilet trainer I recently installed on the toilet. No more incidents on the rugs.”

Nancy had engaged me to do a session for Horus to deal with his indiscriminate urination and loss of weight. He had been checked out by the vet — with no remarkable results — other than crystals in his urine and he already was on prescription bladder-friendly food. Nancy was thrilled that he accepted the toilet trainer but still baffled by his weight loss.

“It could be that Horus likes to share your toilet—as long as he doesn’t keep you waiting.” I told Nancy that I was reminded of a family where their three cats used their toilet. As there was only one bathroom, the family members sometimes had to wait in line “to go”.
I went on to tell Nancy that when he was anxious Horus got a spasm in his bladder and used the bath mats or other soft surfaces that reminded him of the comfort of the mother cat. Crystals made his bladder more sensitive.
(Refer to Litter Box Woes)

I emphasized that his weight loss might be a result of angst— even though he did have a good relationship with his sis and bro.
I suggested Horus’ vet might be able to recommend a few supplements that would stimulate his appetite and add weight to his bod.
I reminded her that the music from his session would relax Horus and his litter mates.

I did a Reiki treatment to balance mind, body and spirit.
Nancy thanked me and planned to get them their own robotic cat for play sessions. She would give me a progress report and be in touch with any questions.
