Artie Not Ready For Transition ….
Reiki for an unstoppable cat who’s being treated palliatively.

“Artie, you are unflappable, “ I said, as I gave him his Reiki treatment, and he purred to a happy beat.

Three weeks ago he was diagnosed with lymphoma. Artie recently turned a golden sixteen. So, Susan, his guardian, decided to treat him palliatively. His regimen consisted of a few medications to keep him comfortable and weekly visits to the vet. Fluid therapy was part of his wellness regimen. Susan was able to administer the fluids at home which saved Artie a trip to the vet.

Artie’s Template Is On Auto Love
“Yesterday, my boy finished off more than a few ounces by the end of the day. So far, today he’s not interested. The day isn’t over, so his appetite may pick up. What’s your take, Carole?”
“Artie’s not ready to leave this planet. He’s woke to all the auto love and care you give him. He has his bro, Dude, to hang with and still wanders out into your enclosed garden.”

Artie zones out with his bro Dude

I went on to say how Artie’s happy purr goes non-stop when he claims Susan’s lap or any other available lap. When he becomes reclusive, refuses all food, can’t get comfortable; when his breathing gets irregular and he has that far away look in his eyes, will be the time for Artie, with the vet’s assistance, to make his transition.
“Ok, so a day at a time. I get it,” said Susan.
