Happy Leap Year 2024 (366 days) ….

Eisenhower — Andy Warhol’s cat

“Andy Warhol was a cutting edge figure in American art, and a rich man. When, Eisenhower, one of his several dozen cats disappeared, he made this simple, artistically unpretentious poster. It led to Warhol’s next major exhibition. By the way, Eisenhower turned out to be locked in the laundry room.” (Cats Of The Masters — Michael Patrick)

Cats were a high point in the Warhol exhibit at the Whitney Museum. I particularly liked this cat.

Myanmar Mother Cat Drops Kittens Off At Nursery For Humans

Myanmar Nursery

The alleged explanation for this “Feline Drop-Off” is that one of the staff brought in her family cat for show and tell, and word went over the cat-vine or under the radar that this nursery was cat- friendly. The kittens were adopted by various cat-lovers, along with the mother cat who was rescued nearby. A couple of weeks passed, and another litter of kittens was found by the nursery’s garden entrance. Could be this nursery has become bi-species — and a magnet for homeless cat moms.
