A Leap Year Forever Home
Orion welcomes Pablo and Lily his new cousins to their forever home in LA.

Pablo and Lily in their forever home

Lily and Pablo were found by a rescuer, abandoned in a carrier near a shelter. They now have a forever home with my sister Gail and husband Tony.

Pablo is the groomer, Lily the receiver. A win–win.

Former Rescued Moms of The Street

Nine years ago, Orion was an intact tomcat of the streets. Chances are he sired many a kitten before he was taken to the Chula Vista Animal Control in California where he was neutered. And the rest is history. He now wants to pay tribute to a couple of the rescued former moms of the street.

Nellie Mom and her kits

Nellie
There’s Nellie the mother of three, who was adopted with Okra, one of her kittens. A feel good song was a catalyst for Nellie’s relief from maternal angst.

And The song that made the difference

Luna
I met Luna at Westside Veterinary Center where I am in residence. She was rescued and sponsored by a neighbor. Barely six or seven months herself, she gave birth to six kittens.

Luna now lives with a guardian who visited her during her weeks of motherhood. She is the only cat and shows no symptoms of the “single cat syndrome”. If that day should appear, Luna will be matched with a compatible feline companion.
