Just hours before she and her best buddy Kiera were to be euthanized, Kala gave her shelter pal a hug that ended up saving their lives.

SAFE!! First to a Foster home then a Forever home

The photo of the embrace went viral and the publicity helped get them fostered then placed in a forever home. It took 2 hours and 6 minutes after their photo was posted for Kala and Kiera to find a home. That was the beginning. And a few months later, a forever home.
