Cat Behavior Questions
* Cat and Baby   * Cat and People   * Ghosted    * Kitten for Aggressive Cat  …..

Q. What’s the best way to introduce a new baby to a cat?

A.  Before the baby is brought home give the cat something to smell of the baby. Sprinkle some baby powder or lotion on your bathrobe. For a positive association, repeat the sounds of a crying baby from the internet and stroke your cat as it plays. Mention your cat when you interact with the baby. The intro should be when your baby is mellow.

Q.  What can I do to keep my cat from becoming  jealous when a friend stays over?

A.  Give your cat some catnip if it’s a fave. Increase the affection and acknowledge your cat verbally, so you’re all on the same page. Mention your cat in conversation. Your friend can feed your cat for a positive association.

Q.  Is there a possibility that my cat will ghost me if he has another cat?

A.  At the start you may feel neglected. Be patient. As soon as the cats have established a tight relationship — bonded — they’ll both turn to you for love and affection. You’ll be a family.

Q.  My male cat is very aggressive and possessive. What’s the best kind of kitten to adopt for him?|

A.  Adopt a kitten that prefers cats to people so the kitten will instinctively relate to your cat first. By the time the kitten turns to you for recognition, your cat won’t be threatened.
