Hamlet’s Hamlet At The Algonquin (Sep 2024)

Hamlet is not affected by the single cat syndrome. People are his catnip.

“Do you think Hamlet wants a playmate?” said one of the hotel guests. “He seems to be smitten with that robotic cat.”

I told the guest that it was actually the glitter ball wand that Hamlet was after.  That said, Hamlet immediately shadowed the wand.

“Ah, I see,” said the guest. “It really does get him pumped. So you feel Hamlet does okay as the solo cat?”
I nodded and explained there doesn’t seem to be a feline companionship gap. People definitely score high on his short list of preferences. And with his 24/7 gig as “Feline Greeter” Hamlet is sitting pretty.
